I have witnessed that our lives carry weight as we grow older. The sparkle can fade a bit under the pressure of responsibilities, disappointments, and the grind of routine. Burnout, exhaustion, and emotional letdowns can dull even the most passionate spirits.
But knowing that there are still things we haven’t accomplished, emotions we haven’t felt, versions of ourselves we haven’t met—that’s where the hope quietly lives. It’s not about constant excitement, but about remaining open. There’s still wonder left, just quieter and deeper. Sometimes it’s not in the grand goals, but in small, meaningful discoveries.
Even a single new experience, connection, or realisation can breathe a little life back into our tired corners. I have a list that reminds me of why to live. Hope this list has things you still have to accomplish, and it gives you a thought to live life more fully in every moment.
1. To witness and learn that it all does get better with time.
2. To see yourself fall deeply, profoundly, madly, and crazily in love with yourself.
3. To see yourself being loved for who you are and not what you have.
4. To see yourself grow wiser and see yourself unfold through various phases of your life .
5. To see yourself overcome challenges that will turn you into your finer version and see yourself talk about these challenges with gratitude.
6. To honour the ones you have loved and who loved you back, but you lost them to destiny and death.
7. To live in your dream house.
8. To feel the water on your skin, enjoy bathing in the rain, and feel refreshed and renewed.
9. To capture the beauty of this Universe till the time you can see, stargazing, seeing a rain flower bloom, playing in the soil and seeing the sky change colours every moment.
10. To love this Earth and see the wonders of living on this wonderful blue planet .
11. To do wonderful things with this gift of life-Write, sing, dance, laugh, feel deeply and enjoy every emotion to its fullness.
12. To see yourself becoming more forgiving toward yourself and others.
13. Walking barefoot on the sand or grass.
14. To read at least one religious book to understand what you missed for fun.
15. To see yourself living an abundant life with someone who sees your potential, and whose potential you see — together creating a world where you are believed in, and you believe in them.
16. To hold your partner’s or future partner’s hand and lean in for a kiss that feels like home.
17. To hold the little hands of your future children.
18. To see your future children and see yourself being a wonderful parent you never had.
19. To be able to tell about your cool badass life to your children and grandchildren.
20. To create something that helps others in need-Mentor, blog, teach or build a community .
21. To learn about the Universe and how our mind works, and experience how our imagination creates our reality.
22.To hug yourself and the ones you love.
23. Live to watch and listen to the river flowing and hear the sound of rain again.
24. Live to Cuddle and relax with your pets and partner.
25. To cook for yourself and for those you love — a quiet act of warmth, where every stir carries care and every flavour feels like home.
26. To enjoy the joy of doing nothing.
27. To experience the simple joy of ice cream melting into sweetness on your tongue.
28. To brew tea at sunrise and feel the world awaken with you, one tender sip at a time.”
29. To make new friends in your oldage.
30. To laugh so loudly for once that it makes you cry.
31. To see yourself finally figure out if there is any God.
32. To see yourself learning to celebrate your true self—and your little successes—as a big deal.
33. To learn to see that everything matters, even if it doesn’t make sense.
34. To see your imaginations and manifestations come true in the most magical way.
35. To learn how this universe is full of magic and not logic.
36. To be at ease with everything that has happened to you and to learn that it wasn’t entirely your fault.
37 . To learn to let go and let God.
Remember to get out and celebrate every moment as much as you can. I know there is so much I haven’t seen, felt, experienced, or lived—so I’ll keep going until I’ve accomplished everything on the list above.
Begin with small, everyday activities you might have avoided before: eat alone at a lunch counter, read in public, or enjoy a solo coffee. Try not to hide behind your phone. As you grow more comfortable, expand to bigger experiences: dine alone at a restaurant, go to the movies, or explore a new city by yourself.
Take yourself dancing. Stand at the edge of the floor at a club, let the music move you, and dance as if no one is watching—because most likely, they aren’t. Even if they are, the natural movement of the human body is beautiful. Sweat and motion remind you of life’s simple pleasures. Talk to the moon, lounge on the roof, and lose yourself in the sky. charge your astral soul—not just your phone—and savour every bite of food like Remy from the freaking “Ratatouille”. Life, in all its beauty, can feel alienating at times—but I am grateful for it truly, massively, and madly.
I’d love to hear what keeps you from giving up on life and live it fully.

Geeta, who likes to be called G, when not working, can usually be found reading a book, spending (perhaps a little too much) time meditating, practicing yog, or just vibing in the present moment like a mindfulness pro. And—despite claiming she knits very badly—she still picks up the needles now and then. Blogging to share her life learnings is her passion!

A really good blog and me back again.
