I know what you are thinking. You are thinking that if there is no god and we, as a planet, are just a tiny blue dot in an infinite universe, caged in the middle of dimensions, then why should we do anything?
I mean, we all will die, and yes, the people we love will die too. No one will miss us, and we will not be there to see how we are being remembered. So, why do anything at all? Why spend time building anything at all?
I had asked this question myself a million times when I had lost all motivation to do anything. I had plenty of bridges unburnt and had no desire to pursue anything, and while searching for the answer, I learned that asking this question is like looking at a blank canvas and simply complaining that there is no art when you can use this blank canvas to create your own art.
Think of the time you have been given in this life as your canvas, and decide what you want to do with it.
You can either continue to use this “nothing really matters” phrase to justify why you didn’t do anything with your life and stay demotivated, or you can see this as the most liberating thought to find what matters to you and be excited to live every day with a more positive outlook.
These are five points that I go back and refer to when I need to remind myself to live even more since it doesn’t matter.
1. See, nothing really matters as an opportunity

Knowing nothing matters should not limit you but make you see it as an opportunity to reset and start over as, when, and however you want. Knowing nothing matters frees you in infinite ways. Imagine yourself not worrying about making mistakes, not achieving more or less, and leaving everything as nothing is significant and will be.
This thought makes me live fully and be grateful that I only have this life to make an impact on people around me, on people who come into my life, and on myself. I can make a million mistakes and keep learning new lessons.
2. Yes, life is meaningless

In the big picture, everything we do is meaningless. I have learned that it is important to use your time to find yourself first and then find people and things that add meaning to your life. Find people and things that may mean a lot to you or you may mean a lot to them. Find a hobby, a dream, or a purpose, make the most of it, and live more fulfilled and happy for the time you are alive.
You are not obligated to think this way and do not worry if you do not find any of these. Just live life more fully while you are here.
3. Stop worrying about the Afterlife

We live in a society that uses religion to keep us fearful of how we need to live and obey rules in order to have a comfortable afterlife.
The reality is that we know nothing about the afterlife.
I mean, it could be a big, giant black hole that is going to suck us in, or maybe an afterlife organization waiting for us to join in and be their employees for infinity, or maybe we actually become stars and join the universe or become one with the supreme consciousness.
I mean, that’s all I could think of. I do know of some spiritual kingdoms that I have read about, but I can’t verify them either.
So when we really do not know where we are going to be in our afterlife, or is there an afterlife?
Why worry so much about following rules and living in constant fear of not scoring a seat in the so-called heaven?
Be fearless and build your own heaven here. Create your own rules and your own kingdom of peace and joy.
4. See, Death as the biggest motivation

Death is certain. We can be fixated on thinking and being stuck in the same or value the middle time (the time between our birth and death) to utilize and do things that make it a more meaningful journey and complete our life tasks.
Imagine the day of your death, visualize your deathbed, and ask yourself one last time: Did you make the most of your time here in this life? or you could have done more and are capable of doing more. If the answer is yes, I am happy for you, and if the answer is no, You need to start taking action and not wait for things to happen to you. Life happened to you, and that’s all you got before your death. So make the most of it and choose to do what you love as much as possible!
5. Enjoy the Little things more

Life is an event in itself, so stop waiting for any more events; there is no bigger event than life. Get out and celebrate every moment as much as you can. Find those moments of joy. I am sharing some of my ways to enjoy the little moments of this beautiful life.
Smile when you wake up
Brush your teeth while you put your favourite music on and dance to it.
Long lukewarm water showers.
Learn a signature dance move.
Live a slow life.
Hug your parents more and hug yourself more.
Focus on the good in your life and if there is no good, then make good things happen for yourself.
Eat sweets.
Buy flowers for yourself and the people you love.
Enjoy Praying for peace in your life.
Watch birds fly in the sky.
Witness sunrise and sunset.
Most importantly, forgive and let miserable people go, as they don’t matter either.
Love
